Volunteer Screening

*Not all COVID-19 carriers are symptomatic. *We cannot completely eliminate risk.

We are using the following health guidelines to reduce transmissions of the novel coronavirus.

All our volunteers:

  • Have been currently practicing social distancing
  • Have not traveled out of the country in the last 14 days
  • Are not exhibiting any signs of compromised health (e.g. runny nose, cough, fever, shortness of breath)
  • Have not come in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 14 days

Health and Safety Guidelines

All volunteers must wear latex/rubber gloves during deliveries. We also recommend that volunteers avoid touching unnecessary items and utilize any self-checkout option if available. Volunteers are additionally requested to take all CDC-approved safety precautions, including:

  • Washing hands with soap and water for 20 seconds or more and or using hand sanitizer
  • Refraining from touching their face after having been outside
  • Sneezing or coughing into their elbow and not hands
  • Practicing “social distancing” defined specifically by avoiding crowds, staying indoors, and staying 6 feet away from other people if you have to go outside

Delivery Protocols

Volunteers make as no contact with the recipient if possible upon delivery:

  • They will place items at entrance and notify by call, doorbell or knock to inform that the order has been delivered.
  • If an item was not prepaid, payments to the volunteer will be exchanged either via cash, check, or through digital payments Paypal/Venmo/Cash App/Zelle.
